Cercospora Leaf Spot

Cercospora leaf spot: This disease may be caused by three cercosporoid species, including Cercospora flagellaris, C. cannabis, and Pseudocercospora cannabina. However, only C. flagellaris has been confirmed in southeastern and midwestern states using modern taxonomic methods. Symptoms include irregular spots with tan to brown centers, broad purple borders, and yellow halos. The disease typically appears late in the growing season under warm conditions. Cercospora flagellaris has a broad host range, affecting various plants, including cannabis.
